Blacksmith Spring Steel Knife

$45.00

This course knife is made from a truck leaf spring, forged down to a rugged usable blade, that will hold an edge. It still has the forging slag on it. It has a RC Hardness of 60 according to my test files. The handle was welded for extra strength and the weld course filed. A good strong knife you can use every day. OAL is 10.25, with a blade length of 5.5 inches.

Blacksmith Rasp Knife

This knife was created from a farriers rasp. It has a RC Hardeness of 55+ and is a rough finished knife, though it is incredibly rugged. Meant to be used on a daily basis. OAL is just under 12 inches. The blade is 7.5 inches in length. It still has forging slag and both the rasp side and file side are still visible, adding to its roughness and charm. The handle is curved to keep your fingers from slipping forward to the edge.

Damascus/Pattern Welded Knife with Sheath

This is a pattern welded knife. OAL is just under 8 inches. The blade is just under 4 inches. It is considered San Mai, with a hardened core of spring steel, layered with pattern welded steel consisting of Chainsaw chain forged with 1080 Powdered steel forged into a single blade. It has a RC Hardness of 55+ The handle is Native Walnut, cut, dried, and stabilized before shaping, with brass pins. The sheath is rugged leather and made to wear on the LEFT side. It is dyed black.

Damascus/Pattern Welded Knife with Sheath

This is a Pattern welded knife. 8.5 inches OAL. The blade is four inches long. The handle is native Walnut. Cut, dried and stabilized before shaping with brass pins. The sheath is thick leather and dyed black. Stitched to wear on the right side. The sheath inner (leg side) has some imperfections from sewing, that will not affect its usability or durability.

Fat Boy Knife

Fat Boy is made from Chainsaw chain, and 1080 Powdered steel, forged into a pattern welded blade. The tang is copper, melted in our forge, then shaped and polished. The handle is Ironwood. Fat boy is 8.5 inches OAL, with a blade that is just under 4.5 inches. It is very comfortable in your hand.

Red Hybrid

Red is a knife created from Spring Steel. Specifically a Leaf Spring from a 1980 Z28 Camaro. The handle is Walnut and Resin. The Walnut is stabilized, with brass pins. The OAL is 9.5 inches The blade is close to 4.5 inches. The sheath is rugged leather and made to wear on the right side, it is dyed brown.

These are Hand Crafted Items. Produced by forging, filing and polishing. There may be imperfections, due to the process with which they are created. I will not sell an item that has a flaw that will impact functionality. These items will have Minor imperfections due to the forging process, a scratch, etc. If you want PERFECT, then buy a machine made item. If you want a one of a kind Item, a unique item that is hand made. That is what we do!
